In order to guarantee the quality of the Inductive Fluid Heater and its full operation after installation, tests developed by Brascoelma are carried out, based on ABNT standards, and which are carried out in its own laboratory.
The main essays are:
Tests with penetrating liquids on all welds of stainless steel tubes in the manufacturing phase, according to ASTM, section III volume 3 JIS-Z2343.
Hydrostatic test: 1.5 times the working pressure.
X-ray of stainless steel welds (upon customer request).
Function test with reduced voltage and power, applied to the Inductive Heater.
Measurement of the equipment's power factor.
Measurement of the final power of the Heater.
Measurement of the ohmic resistance of the inductive windings and calculations of their losses, to verify their electrical performance.
Measurement of the insulation resistance between the inductors and the grounded tubular coils with a megometer.
Applied voltage of 2,500 volts (for voltages up to 690 volts) for one minute between inductor coil and heating coil plus mass.
Functional tests of the electronic panel and firing of the thyristors.
Visual and dimensional inspection.
Brascoelma has welding procedures and Welder Qualification Records (RQS) for welds made in stainless steel and carbon steel, signed by a welding inspector qualified as level 2 by Petrobras / SEQUI and F.B.T.S.
Still at the customer's request, the equipment may undergo tests for use in classified areas, with certification issued by a competent certifying body and validated by Inmetro.
Standards Used
If the ABNT standards do not include any process or test necessary for the validation of the equipment, or if the customer so requests, Brascoelma may use the standards below.
Petrobras Standards - N-XXXX
ASME - American Society of Mechanical Engineers
ANSI - American National Standards Institute
ISO - International Standard Organization
ASTM - American Society for Testing and Materials
IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
NEMA - National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association
